May 2026 | UCT Inaugural Lecture Series | Cape Town
“The sound arrived before the lecture did…”
Plugged In Productions provided sound, AV and live streaming for this UCT Inaugural Lecture, held in the Atrium at the Hasso Plattner School of Design Thinking Afrika (d-school Afrika) on the University of Cape Town’s middle campus.
This was a lecture designed to be experienced — not simply heard. Sound, light and space worked together to immerse the audience, while a performative element brought an added dimension to the message of reimagining information and education through reflections on belonging, identity and curriculum transformation.
For Plugged In Productions, it was another opportunity to use technical production to support an experience where the AV becomes part of the story.
